Drought

Can’t remember the last time we have had measurable rain. Where we live is classified as extreme drought and it is only worsening. I take this pic now because soon water will be shut off and the change will be dramatic… unless there is some kind of miracle.  That miracle may be a few weeks or years away. Yesterday was 102, today will be over 100 and so will the next 5 days, until it cools off to the high 90s.  Pandemics, earthquakes, fires, crazy winds and drought….Feels a lot like the last days. 

Fri Date

With all the craziness of our lives, Jas & I decided a weekly date is a necessity. Fri 4-8 right after we drop off Harper. The big boys watch Ollie & Jude & Thad (or sort of 😏) 

Last week we went hiking & hammocking. This week was Maddox chicken & paddle boarding.  Patzi was our third wheel on both dates😂Already looking forward to next week. 

Track 2021

There’s a silver lining to Keat being the last one cut from Weber’s Siccer team…track. Lots of heartache & lessons learned & new opportunities. Keat & Jonas ran track this year. 

Jonas was able to run in a few closed races which is awesome as a 7th grader! He’s thinking he likes the short distances 

Costa Rica

We surprised the boys w a trip to Costa Rica for Christmas over Spring Break! It was touch & go for a while, but we were able to pull it off! (We had to add travel I durance & all get tested to come back into the US)


Boys had an awesome surf lesson!

Amazing natural hot hot springs flowing from Arenal. Local hangout-the only gringos around.





Went zip lining. Jude was the first to go of the entire group. He was so brave! It was amazingly beautiful!

Next stop Jaco! The older boys’ favorite little beach town. 


We had our own private pool @ were right on the beach. Heaven!

Patzi the miracle dog

Patzi is such a blessing to this family. She seems to be innately gifted at healing and calming. If Harper is sad after a visit with her parents, Patzi is there. She stands at her bedroom doorway and waits for us to give her permission, then she jumps into bed next to Harper. She calms down and sleeps in no time. She has a way of healing and helping all of us. 

Ollie is 6 months!

Feb 3 Ollie turned 6 months!  Our lives would be so incomplete without him!  Just seeing old pictures without him there reveal to us just how deeply we love and need him!  

Ollie 6 Months

Ollie us 6 months-hard to believe! He’s a little mover & can roll both ways & scoot & do 180s & 360s. He loves his tongue! It’s always out. He also just started to express his displeasure if something is taken from him by crying. He’s a big fan of Patzi & will grab for her fur if given the chance. He also loves to scratch & gear the noise-pillows, couches, our faces. Mika hands are upon us & he’ll grab my hair any chance he gets. We adore him!
