Keat Patriarchal Blessing

Yesterday, Oct 21 2021, Keat received his Patriarchal Blessing. Jas & I both had impressions earlier in the year that he needed to prepare for it. 

Keat decided to fast for the day. We were prayerful for him. It was one of the most choicest experiences as parents to witness your firstborn receive his blessings! So many wonderful blessings given to him. A few stand out-that his mind would be sharp & clear (he’s healing from a concussion again, so this brought tears to my eyes). Also, that he would have a wife who loves him & makes him laugh! That he would be a good husband & father.  Also, that he would have a good relationship w his mission President. That his kindness would help others & that he is a good friend. His blessing promised him he could be calm in trying hard times. Sis Ericson commented after the blessing about his she could feel his choice spirit & Patriarch Ericson thanked him for coming ready & fasting, as the Spirit is easier felt due to him being prepared. Such a discuss night. Now bring on the food!

First Day of School Aug 2021

Keat is in high school, a Sophomore!!

Jonas is at Orion in 8th grade.

Thad is in 4th at Majestic.

Big day  for Jude-he’s in 1st grade! Full day of school 

Keat is 16!!

Keat’s bday fell on the last day of summer. In true fashion, Keat squoze every last drop. Jas took him & 11 buddies paintballing in Mountain Green. Keat thrives on being aggressive, active & outdoors-so it was right up his alley. Jas said he’s a force to be reckoned with up there. 

Afterwards, they came back & a bunch of his friends that are girls came over for a pool party & food. Thinking we’d shut it down around 5/6…we finally nicely kicked them out closer to 9. We had to remind them their first day of school was tomorrow!🤪

We love the spunk & fun Keat brings to the family. He’s always  up for an adventure! Keaton is a kind brother most of the time & takes a lot from his brothers😉 He has a testimony that has been strengthened by some tough times, especially this last year. He is a sweet young man who made me a momma & I’m forever grateful Heavenly Father gave him to us.

Priesthood Blessings

Our annual tradition of Jas giving Priesthood blessings before school starts happened tonight. Only a few shenanigans of Harper crying in her room, Ollie drinking & spitting out his water & Patzi burping in the middle of the prayer. In all seriousness, we are blessed that Jason can give each of us a blessing. We feel calmer & ready fir the upcoming year.

Babysitting

The big  & middle boys are stepping up & babysitting. It’s of necessity 😅 So much going in-from soccer games in SL to date nights. The house isn’t always clean, but we’re grateful for it nonetheless. Had to capture some moments of babysitting

Ollie is One!

It’s like Ollie grew from a baby over night. In the last couple of weeks, he earned how to walk! He looks like a drunk monkey with His arms up. It’s adorable! We can’t imagine what life would be life without this sweet sweet boy 

Drought

Can’t remember the last time we have had measurable rain. Where we live is classified as extreme drought and it is only worsening. I take this pic now because soon water will be shut off and the change will be dramatic… unless there is some kind of miracle.  That miracle may be a few weeks or years away. Yesterday was 102, today will be over 100 and so will the next 5 days, until it cools off to the high 90s.  Pandemics, earthquakes, fires, crazy winds and drought….Feels a lot like the last days.
