Keats first time in the temple

Keat turned 12 last week and received the priesthood. The whole family made it up to celebrate. It was a pretty awesome site. We filled up at least 40 chairs in the overflow. And we packed everyone in the house too!

If you follow the LDS tools app it shows the ogden temple baptistry open on Monday morning at 5:30am.

Well...it's not!  We got up at 4:45 and cruised down to the temple to find a security guard and a locked temple. Bust!  Dulce even came with us.
Well, second time was the charm for us. We went today.

It turned out perfect because we were able to time it just right for when my dad came down for his shift in the baptistry. We were baptized and confirmed for George Gillard, Elizabeth Swift and Agnes Crawford.  We also had one individual we did work for in Jenn's family as well as a bunch of others provided by the temple. It was neat to have my dad there as a witness or confirming also.

I hope it was a memorable and spiritual experience for Keat too. I had fun baptizing him. He was hillarious trying to figure out how to get dunked!

Jenn and I have this pic on our wedding day under this same tree.
Funny, I don't have one pic of Jake and Erica!

August 21 2017 total solar eclipse

Our friend in the ward,  John Reynolds took this pic of the total solar eclipse on Monday. My dad flew his plane up to Idaho to see the total eclipse. In Ogden we had a 94% eclipse, which was still pretty cool. We had a little party at the pool.

Grandpas plane

Well..he did it!  Dad has been rebuilding a plane for over a year. At first I wondered if those plane parts would ever become a plane. I also wondered if was just to get the airport off of his back for use of his hangar and storing all of his toys. You've got to admit, he did really well with this plane!  It's pretty inspiring what he did.

A couple of weeks ago he took it up for its first flight. At the same time that he took the plane up another plane went down and crashed by the airport on I15 killing all 4 on board. When Jenn heard the news she called me really upset thinking before that it was my dad. Turns out that it was two couples from around here. The owner of AIS.

Eloise

This story is a long one.  It has chapters that are amazing and miraculous.  It has chapters with extreme joy and equally extreme sadness.  So many prayers have been offered leading up to, during and since then.  Most of it is written in my green journal.  That may have to suffice for now until I get up the energy to roll it out here.... We'll leave it at that for now....

Last Day Nursing Jude

Thursday May 18. It's been a long time coming, the last day nursing Jude. Still, it was hard. We had a flight that afternoon to Spokane. I held Jude tight.
So many emotions. I've done this so many times & yet I don't want to ever forget.
Yes there were tears(for me at least) I know things are changing quickly, that we will hopefully be blessed with a baby girl. Jude are you ready to be a big brother? Exciting, wonderful & a bit bittersweet. Remember Jude, you'll always be my baby.
A side funny note. After I finished nursing Jude, I asked him if he wanted me to sing him a song or just sit with him. He said,"no song. Just sit." 😂 As I left, he said, "good night mama." 💓
