Bluebird ski day

Beautiful day at the Basin yesterday!  Keat and I did some skiing while Jonas had his first snowboard lesson. Keat was determined to beat Jonas' record of 38mph and it wasn't easy!  The first few runs he topped out at 35 and couldn't believe Jonas hit that speed. 38 is fast!  Then we took another trip to the top of the Olympic downhill track. Keat kept asking if he could just bomb the whole thing!  I made him get on his edges and carve about half way down the first shoot before he let it fly. That kid hit 53 mph!

Here's Jonas shredding. He loved it!

Jenn was skiing with Thad for the first half day. That little guy is getting good! And Jenn was looking as beautiful as ever on the slopes!

All tuckered out.

Thad Fall 2015

Wolf Creek Surprise

We surprised the boys & took the boys up to Wolf Creek on Christmas afternoon. It was so fun to get away! We played a mean game of Monopoly that took us several nights to finish. Although there were tears w both of the big boys, it was memories built. We also did an adult coloring book, went sledding, skiing, exploring, had awesome naps, hot tubbing & let go of one of our Chinese lanterns. It was a great break!

Skiing

We've had some good times up on the mountain. One highlight was on Dec 23, has & I took Keat & Jonas up skiing. We were so excited to see Santa up in the mountain! He was shredding it & it took us a bit to catch up!
Jas was able to take Keaton, Jonas & Thaddeus each up individually this season. They each adored the time w him.
Keat went up w Jas after a good storm & they skied fast & furious & hit up some tough terrain.

Jonas went & surprised us all with his improvements!

Jas gave him his app to measure his speed & he improved from 26 mph to 38. Holy cow!
We even tried to get Jude on the action by having him connected to us w the Moby, but we were denied. I'm proud of my little skiers & recognize that if they haven't bypassed my yet, they will soon๐Ÿ˜‚

Valentine's Day 2016

Matching purple after a little begging in my end. This is the best pic we could achieve in on 30 sec window before church. Love my men!

Jason's Wood Badge

Jas worked really hard to get his Wood Badge. He had to go to 3 weekend camps for it. He also had to do 4 large projects in different areas. One area was financial & to get us completely debt free! Other areas were spiritual & community. Two years in a row he was in charge of an Inter Faith Celebration of Christ. It included dinner, music presentations & speakers from people through out the community. Very time consuming!
It took awhile to actually receive his award w our crazy schedules, but he finally did! It was very cool to see even if Jude was walking up to the front & coughing up a storm (bronchitis).made for a fun memory!

T

I love comments from Thad! Here's a few just from this week. While on a spied walk w me, he asked how old Heavenly Fatger & Jesus were. I said I didn't know, but that they were very old. He said matter of factly,"ask your phone Mom."
We were outside & T saw a potato bug. He asked what potato bugs do. He then said,"oh I know, they make potatoes!"

Here's the way we found Thad the other night when we checked on him!  Not only is he a crazy sleeper but this little guy snores like a grown man!

Thad's Injury

We have the fourth step into our kitchen that is a bit longer than the rest. It was only a matter of time before an injury occurred. Poor T skipped, fell & slammed his chin into the tile ๐Ÿ˜• I knew right away. Luckily Jas was home & was able to take him to Ogden Clinic. His nurse was so sweet w him & stroked his cheek & sung songs like I Love to See the Temple
to him. My little trooper.

3v3 Roy Tourney

Both Keat & Jonas played in the Roy High 3v3 tourney & we're both undefeated! Way to go boys!
Keat played some of his former team mates. He played aggressive & had a lot of fun.
Jonas played one team that was 2 years younger. They won, but were kind in how they won. When a 3rd team creamed the younger team, we didn't think that showed very good sportsmanship. So, our boys played to honor this little team & played their guts out the second half.
