We are in the midst of a pandemic and global panic. The markets have crashed 10,000 points and will likely take a deeper plunge this week. Grocery stores have been cleaned out. Church is cancelled. We held a virtual elders quorum meeting today on Zoom and had a sacrament meeting as a family in the kitchen. Professional sports and college sports have been cancelled. That includes the NCAA college hoops March Madness! General conference will be broadcasted but not attended live. Schools cancelled. My boys will be out for weeks. It’s my year end. I’m supposed to be traveling all over the place. Not now. All cancelled. Soccer and Basketball games— cancelled. So we said, “sweet, we will just ski for two weeks!” Nope, today resorts ended their seasons! Restaurants are starting to shut down also. My hospitals have all but cancelled elective procedures and only performing an Endovascular procedure if it is deemed an emergency. The prayer is that we can stay healthy!

Jonas’s Love of Skiing
Jonas could ski every day if he could😂
He absolutely lights up any time skiing us brought up. There’s been too many times he’s begged to miss school bc of fresh powder.
Flu
Not much needed to say other than our last week of Feb consisted of 5/6 of us getting the flu. Lucky Jonas dodger this bullet. Jason’s version was more mild. The rest of us were pretty miserable.
To break up the monotony, Keaton, Jude & Jas creates a masterpiece.
There was a little Nintendo playing too.
The Mon night was one of the roughest. Jenn barfed two times due to the sickness/pregnancy/taking medication. Jas was so kind to help clean up the mess she made😅 Keat has taken his second dose of Tamiflu. That night twice (at like 11 & 12:45) he woke up in a cold sweat hallucinating. He was awake, but not there. Cold water, talking, prayers, showers were some ways we tried to get him to snap out of it. Looking back, it’s funny. But, at the moment, it was terrifying.

Understandably, Keat didn’t want to go back to sleep that night for fear it would happen again. Jas, being the awesome dad he is, stayed up with him. They had a Psych marathon until they crashed around 4 am. I found them asleep on the coaches.
Rough week if fevers, achiness, sore throats. Always a reminder on how grateful we are for our health. Also so grateful Jas was able to help us dig out. We survived🙌
Feb 2020 Keat’s Soccer Tourney
We got a little fun in the sun and St. George in February with soccer tournament. We were able to stay in a VRBO house with the Rowleys and Saunders family. It was a lot of fun for all the kids to have friends there at the same age.
The boys thought it was so hot at 60 degrees, swimming was essential.
Silly boys spooning. They would die if this got on social media😂
Dressed for church & hopes of seeing girls 😏
Late team meet up for the ice cream & fries. A lot of fun until that night.....
The kids helped out in the kitchen with making us a big breakfast.
The championship game was a big one. We played the Spanish Fork Shooters. We lost to them in The championship last year in Park city. (It was a rough game both Keat and Luke & their coach got a red card)
We ended the vacay w a sweet pit stop to see Grandpa Tingey. Always a highlight to see one of our favorite people!!

Keat seemed to go into AFIB with his heart irregular. That and stomach issues. We think it was possibly due to Tracey, high stress of games, major physical activity & all the fairy/fat late at night. Luckily, we had oil & Jas was able to give him a blessing.

We tied them at the beginning of the tourney & got a chance to play them again in the championship.
We played at Dixie State on the most dead grass
Keaton had the most beautiful shot & scored the only score of the game!!! We won 1 to 0!! I was so excited & touched, I may have shed a tear or two behind my sunglasses. I love those moments as a mom where we see our kids do their best & succeed. Awesome way to end the tourney!!!

Keaton is an Eagle Scout!
So proud of Keat pushing through & receiving his Eagle! We had a lot of support from family & friends. The highlight of the Night was the real life eagle that came. It was so cool to learn more about Eagles and how magnificent they are just like these young men.
Gotta love Keaton’s humor with trying to get the eagle kiss😂
