Wolf creek trip

This week we went up to Wolf Creek for a short family getaway. Keat was really hoping to get out on an adventure. He especially wanted to see some deer. So in true Keat form Saturday morning rolls around and I am awoken at some insane hour. That boy is amazing how easily he can get up at the crack!
So we set out on our hike/adventure up by powder mountain in search of deer. After a pretty good hike Keat began to question if we would see anything on this adventure. I assured him we would but then offered a light prayer in my mind. It went something like, "Heavenly Father, you are a dad, can you help me find a deer for Keat?" Sure enough, even that little prayer was answered. Keat was pretty stoked to see some deer and I felt like even the little requests from a Son to his Father are heard.

Scorpion

This week in my room at the Phoenician I was stung by a scorpion on my foot! Not lucky! I was minding my own business just hanging up my clothes in the closet and BAM! That thing crushed me and pumped me full of poison. Not bueno.

Jonas Preschool Graduation

Well, J is officially a preschool graduate! He looked adorable in his blue gown & sang his heart out. Gma & Gpa & Nanna came along to support our bright, very individual 5 year old. Last pic is of J w his friend Samara. She's a sweetheart. Keat was teasing him and said,"you have friend that's a girl." Jonas simply said,"yes I do." So proud of him! He's come a long way! 2 years ago, he was in tears bc his swim class & teacher were all girls. (;
We have loved Ms. Angie's school & are sad we won't have anyone there next yar. The boys are counting down the days until summer camp! Only 2 more!

T sick

I hate when my babies are sick. Poor T has had a semi rough week w first fever, then diarrhea. Today he's had both & threw up tonight. Bless his heart. Jas gave him a blessing before he had to leave for a 5 day trip.
I could tell T wasn't feeling well, so I was holding him. He coughed & then threw up. After a bath, a call into the drs, I set him in his rocking chair w books. I was gone for just a few min to feed the boys & start the laundry w all the throw up clothes. I came back & he had fallen asleep. I think I may pray more with sick kids then any other time.

Keat & his Tender Heart

Keat has this very interesting time right before he goes to sleep. His emotions run deeper & higher at this time.

One night it was when he finally told us how guilty he felt for looking at his neighbor's test.

Tonight was another one of those times. He was in tears. Jas & I finally got him to tell us why he was upset. He said that in 40 years the rainforest s would be all gone. He's literally in tears about this. Then he tells us how many animals are near extinction. We finally for him to settle down by reminding him about recycling & how there are rainforest s & animals that are protected bc if reserves. Bless his heart. Love him.

Church in Heaven

This morning I was helping Jonas get ready for church. He asked me if I thought there was church in heaven. I told him I thought so & what did he think. He said, "I hope not. " I asked him why. He said,"will daddy go to a different church In Heaven too?" Heart breaker & sweet. Will always remember this conversation. I try to remember how we are blessed for our service.
