The year of years

This year will likely never be matched. It was packed with some great memories!  Just like every year, it had its hard times also.

The year started off with Jenn surviving her surgery. (and me barely surviving seeing her get carted off to the OR.  Not an awesome way to start the year, but an amazing way to be reminded of how much we adore Jenn!

After some weeks she was back into the swing of things and even braving the mountian.

Quick trip to California to witness Richard and Elaine and their family get sealed!  Awesome experience!

7 day trip down the grand canyon.  We slept out on soft sandy beaches every night.  Had amazing meals prepared for us during the day.  Braved the frigid and intense colorado rapids. Ranks up there as one of my favorite trips I have ever taken.

That was by far the longest stent we have been away from the boys.  We only had a satelite phone to keep in contact which was pretty spotty deep in the canyon.

Jonas Graduated from Angies Kinder Academy this year.  He is a really smart  kid.  He reads and counts and plays the piano like some mad musical genius!

And many many soccer games!  2013 was packed with hours of soccer practice.  The green team is Team Hulk.  The end of AYSO for Keat.  He moved on to comp this year.  There is a pic of Keats first tournament and the big annual soccer party at our house.

The annual powell trip is the longest standing tradition for the Wright clan.  We went twice this year!

Mexico was an adventure!  We kayaked miles into the Pacific to an island covered with Sea Lions.  We biked and surfed and played on the beach.  Chilled and played games.  Grilled up fresh halibut and yellow tail from the days catch.  Ate amazing lobster dinners.  We went to church and braved the food shopping at Walmart there in town.  Next time we'll stock up at Costo in the states...

Back to real life... Jonas and Keat kicked off their year at Freedom Elementary.  Jonas in Kinder and Keat in 2nd.  This is Keat's second year in the Spanish emersion program.  Jonas will hopefully get his shot next year.

Thad got big on us. This was during his phase of taking the Book of Mormon with him everywhere. He insisted on having it when he went to sleep too.

The bow hunt with Jer and Jake instead of the annual Turkeybowl

We finished the basement....finally.
This was the botched paint job. They got the wrong paint. Not fun telling the painters they had to repaint the basement.

Aunt Arlene Wright passed away. Great lady!
Balloons we released at her funeral.
