"This is the only life we have the privilege of growing older."-Rita Tingey, my Dad's wife told me this a few years back & it inspired me. My mantra (especially when having big birthdays like 35๐). I'm growing older whether I want to or not, might as well embrace it! My hubby is helping me embrace it with 2 amazing gifts this year. The first, an entry in our blog full of pics, memories & letters from people that I love. Priceless & so thoughtful. I"ll cherish forever. The second, a surprise getaway to San Diego! With 30 hours we crammed in exploring Balboa Park with its' art museum (inspiring) & photo exhibit (blah๐), watching a movie at the theater (a treat not done often), eating at multiple places the BEST food(Thai, awarded burger joint, fresh breakfast, house made bread pudding....good food is among my favorite things in life๐), shopping (another purchase at my fav hat shop Goorin Bros) & an amazing hotel. And now, back to my littles & our crazy, blessed life! #thankyoulovedones #grateful

Thad Can Ride a Bike!
Oct. 2815 Bidg boy Tapping T was very determined to ride his bike--no more big wheels. After I tried one time with him ( holy break your back!) I handed that privilege over to Jas & I became the videographer. It finally clicked over conference weekend! We went on a walk because the boys were restless between the Sunday sessions. Awesome eventful walk! Jas even made a video of it!

Baby Jude Walking!
Sept 2015 **add video
The whole family has been ecstatic to see Jude start to take his first steps!! We love how excited & proud he is of this amazing accomplishment! I love to see how excited his big brothers are as they encourage him!
Goodbye YSA
Aug. 2015 Late post! At the end of Aug, Jas was released from being in the YSA Bishopbric. It was bittersweet. The boys absolutely adored the YSAs. Must admit, it was strange not to go to FHE. We miss the Greenhalghs.
The bright side was we got Jas/Daddy back on Sunday's! Sunday's now became our favorite day of the week. We snapped him in quickly to help w Primary on the very first Sun back. He got measles, along w Bishop Bird while the senior primary was singing. We love having him back(for the most part, he's on the high council). We also recognize the blessings we were giving from serving. A good 3 year chapter in our lives.

Midway GetAway
Take 2...for the Tingey side we decided to give the gift of time. It was a lot of packing for a short 24 getaway, but memories were made! Sledding, Ice Castles, movie night, good food, rough night for Baby Jude & Gwen, Jonas got carsick, a mad game of Monopoly( Uncle Jason won) & church at the condo. We missed Nana who was sick. We came home exhausted, but happy! Home sweet home!
Christmas 2015
We simplified a bit w four gifts--something you want, need, wear & read. Sant brought the wants--the boys got now & arrows! So cool!
Another new tradition is the boys pulled names for each other. It was a secret & they worked all week doing jobs to earn money to buy gifts for each other! It was so fun! The week before we did jobs to earn money to help a family in our Ward. It really was so good to see the boys work hard. They went shopping with us & helped pick out food & clothes for the baby. They started to see how fast money goes away. New traditions we'll keep up!
I surprised Jas w a very daring gift--a mountain bike! It went w a hitch or 29.... Rough morning w me putting the wheels on backwards & not getting pedals๐๐๐ so there were tears & after a long shower I felt better. Jas & the boys had to try the bows out before leaving.
Sweet Jas said a prayer be he knew I was upset & he was able to see the bike differently & fix it!thank goodness for prayers!
We went to Gma & Gpas for the yummy breakfast & famous cinnamon rolls. Something new this year is the boys helped put on s puppet show of The Nativity--good Addition! Christmas afternoon brought another surprise...

Christmas Eve 2015
My favorite tradition of Chrustmas-going to Gpa Tingey's! It was unusually quiet & Grandpa stayed the entire time. We really enjoyed being there & the boys love going!
The Jasons rocking their camo shirts from Gpa.
New Year's Eve
Last day of 2015--lots of fun at Eve in Salt Lake! We hit up Discovery Gateway, planetarium, Salt Palace & the Leonardo--all with the kids! Quite a feat!

Did you bash the baby's head on the ground?!
Jonas just yelled out, "Thad knock it off!" I jumped in the mix and asked, "Hey! What is going on!" Jonas explained, "Thad just bashed the baby's head on the ground!"
"Thaaad,..did you bash your brothers head on the ground?"
"Yes! But I kissed him afterward!l"
(No babies were really hurt in this post, just typical crazy little boy stuff)
