Goldie

Yesterday we said goodbye to our friend Goldie!  She was our gold fish for a couple of years. She endured the early years of living in the back yard, surviving the mystery bird and cat attacks.  She also outlasted the times of living in the make shift bucket/ tank in the garage. Then she was there for the "upgrade" to the bowl in the kitchen that had to be cleaned daily. Over a year ago she and the crew moved into the real fish tank on Christmas.
Unfortunately, the filter broke last month and Goldie got sick. Keat was so worried... Jonas wasn't overly concerned, but he did check on her frequently, so maybe in his own way, he was worried too.   Keat prayed for Goldie's recovery.   Ever see a Goldfish hand fed?  We tried morning and night to nurse Goldie back to health. I took a few trips to the pet store to do what I could to save the fish.
Well, after all we could do, Goldie eventually died.  Keat cried. Jonas didn't.
We said goodbye and she took a ride down the toilet. Fortunately, Whitie, Swiper, Brownie 1 and Brownie 2 are all healthy and hanging in.
